Our Domain
Winemakers from father to son for 10 generations, Domaine Badoz is located in Poligny, in the heart of the Jura wine region.
The estate's vineyards are primarily situated on the historic plots of "Les Roussots" and "Les Grands Roussots," composed of Triassic and Lias marl and schistous clay.
These are the first foothills of the Jura Mountains, home to a long tradition of characterful wines, as well as gastronomy and conviviality.
The estate has been built up over generations, and Benoît took over in 2003 with the aim of maintaining a human scale, in order to care for the vines and to have maximum control over the quality of the grapes and therefore the wines. This is why he chose to manage his vineyard according to organic certification.
Thanks to his journey, which took him from Puligny-Montrachet to Château Petrus, from the United States to Australia, Benoît chooses to produce wines that respect the typicity of the terroir and the AOCs of the Jura, but also wines whose personality allows us to discover other facets of the traditional grape varieties of the region.
